KwikLink Announces WebMail
--------------------------
KwikLink is proud to announce our new Webmail service which allows
KwikLink users to instantly check their e-mail from anywhere using
a standard web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. This
type of service is ideal for users that may be travelling or want to
check their mail from another computer. To use the service, simply
go to:
http://webmail.klis.com/
Using webmail does not delete the messages from your mailbox unless
you specific ask it to delete them. If there are any questions concerning
the webmail service, please contact support@klis.com.
Advanced Mail Features Now Available
------------------------------------
KwikLink is now offering additional mail services as part of each mailbox
on the KwikLink server. These services include vacation mail which will
automatically send a notification to people that e-mail you saying that
you are on vacation and will answer their message when you get back (or
any other message you would like to send).
These features are available by visiting:
http://personal.klis.com/mail/
For more information, please contact support@klis.com.
56K Upgrades/Information
------------------------
KwikLink is pleased to announce that upgrades have been performed on our
56K dial-up equipment to improve the connection speed and reliability for
our users. Although these upgrades may help, there may be adjustments that
can be made to your modem to make the most of your Internet experience.
For users that may be experiencing problems connecting at 56K,
KwikLink has created an information site to help get the most out of our
56K connections at:
http://www.klis.com/support/56k/
Since our 56K dial-up systems are optimized for 56K modems, it is recommended
that users with 33.6K or slower modems continue to use our 33.6K dial-up
numbers for the best speed and reliability.
For Users With Acer Modems: We have found that some versions of the Windows
drivers (especially the drivers that are normally shipped with the modems)
have a greater tendency not to connect at higher connection speeds. Upgraded
drivers are available as a free download from Acer that have proven to be
very effective in improving the performance of the connection. Links to Acer
and other major modem manufacturers can be found on the 56K support site
above.
For more information, please contact our support team at support@klis.com.
Kwik "Links"
------------
Construction zones are a common occurrence on Nova Scotia highways in the summer
causing possible delays for motorists travelling within the province. Using
the Internet, however, motorists can easily identify construction areas by
visiting the department of transportation website at:
http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/RoadConditions/
KwikLink is always looking for comments or suggestions on how we can
improve our services for all of our users. If you have any
suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us at sales@klis.com
