created our Basic Account designed for students and light
users of the Internet. This account offers 65 hours of high
speed KwikLink Internet Access per month as well as 1 MB of

Expansion Of Yarmouth POP To Allow 56K V.90 Connections
-------------------------------------------------------
KwikLink is proud to announce an upgrade to our dial-up facilities
in Yarmouth to allow more users to access 56K V.90 connections at
the same time. We currently have 24 digital lines on order that
are scheduled to be delivered to us on September 8. This service
will be available at no additional cost with your KwikLink connection.
Users with a V.90 compliant modem can simply change the KwikLink
access number in their dialer settings in order to access this
new service.
56K will initially be made available in the Yarmouth dialing area and
subsequently in all other areas serviced by KwikLink. If you have
any questions, please contact us at sales@klis.com
KwikLink Welcomes Digby Users
-----------------------------
KwikLink connections are now available to users within Digby
dialing area through our newest access number:
Digby: (902) 839-2220
This new access number is part of KwikLink's commitment to offer
high speed Internet access while allowing roaming within the
Tri-Counties.
WWW.KLIS.COM - The New Look
---------------------------
KwikLink is proud to announce the release of our new website at:
http://www.klis.com/
This new web site offers complete information concerning KwikLink's products
and services as well as support information and some features
requested by a number of our users such as the on-line newsletter archive.
This new design replaces a design that has been in place since the
early days of KwikLink. We have many interesting features planned for this
web site in the coming weeks.
Focus: What Is V.90?
--------------------
V.90 is the standard way that 56K high speed modems can connect to one
another. Before this was standardized, there were two completely
different systems for obtaining high speed connections: X2, created
by US Robotics/3Com and k56Flex created by Lucent and Rockwell. These
technologies were then merged in order to create the V.90 standard.
If you have a 56K modem, you will need to check to ensure that it is
compatible with the new V.90 standard. Most modem manufacturers offer
free upgrades to 56K modem owners simply by downloading the new
software from the Internet.
More information about the V.90 standard can be obtained from:
http://www.v90.com/
KwikLink will be releasing additional information about our V.90
service and how to upgrade your modem to take full advantage of it
in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, please contact us
at support@klis.com.
KwikLink is always looking for comments or suggestions on how we can
improve our services for all of our users. If you have any
suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us at sales@klis.com
