Mailing to all Nova Scotia High Schools asking for their interest in taking part in the 1996 All Saints Project & inviting them to inquire for computer resource update disk.

June 15th

June 17th

Solicitation and set up of the "Trick 'n Treat" Draw.

June 28th

"Trick 'n Treat" Draw details finalized. Lottery permit acquired. Tickets ordered. These may be distributed over the summer if requested.

Sept 9th

Reminder letters and updated resources arrive to schools. Plus schools who are interested in participating are given instructions.

Sept 20th:

Decision to participate made and Teacher / Advisors for participating schools should be identified. SCHOOLS SHOULD ONLY CONSIDER GETTING INVOLVED IN THE KIDS ESCORT, SENIOR COMPLEXES SECURITY AND SENIOR-AT-HOME ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT THIS YEAR.

Sept. 23rd

Schools to finalize their RCMP liaison, local media liaison and any other members of their local communities who may be involved in any co-ordination committee. Contact to be made with the local Housing Authority (re Senior Citizen's Housing) and any private Senior Citizen's residences.

Sept. 27th

Trick 'n Treat" draw tickets are sent to all schools who are interested. Contact with teacher advisors and possible linkage to the local Maritime Tel and Tel Telephone Pioneers for support.

Sept. 27th

Number and initial lists of student participants finalized. Sizes taken for identification materials. Permission forms and information sheets given to student participants.

Oct. 3rd

Local public relations campaign begins centered on informing the public as to what the program is about; what phases are to be undertaken in the local area; who is involved as sponsors and participants.

Oct. 10th

List of student participants finalized. All permission forms/waivers returned and signed.

Oct. 11th

Liaisons for all Senior Citizen's complexes established and finalized. Information letters sent to each liaison.

Oct. 18th

Briefing of student roles by local RCMP/Police undertaken during this week. Possible media coverage in order to promote the program.

Oct. 25th

Cut off list for Senior's At-Home Program; Senior Citizens Home Security.

Oct. 28th

Assignment of roles undertaken with each student participant. Students in Senior's At-Home Program; Senior Citizens Home Security phases to meet with their contact person with "Letter of Introduction" as per kit over next two days.

Oct. 31st

Halloween. All participants involved in all phases.

Nov. 01st

Debriefing and evaluation completed.
