Back to Main PageSCHOOL LETTERHEAD 11 September 1998 Dear __________________ :Further to our telephone conversation on ______________________________, I am drafting this letter to you regarding the possibility of ______________________________, assisting in the acquisition of specially designed t-shirts and/or sweatshirts for law students at ______________________________, High School participating in the October 31, 1998 "All Saints Program". As you are aware, students elsewhere in Nova Scotia participated in this very worthwhile program last year which featured students assisting senior citizens in the town and county of Yarmouth, undertaking security duties around senior citizen's complexes and Yarmouth schools, and undertaking some security work in the central part of Yarmouth town. It is our hope to undertake a similar program in this area. One of our main goals this year, is to try to provide each of the students participating in the program a well designed t-short/sweatshirt which would be unique and would serve as a method of identification for the students. As we discussed, I would like our students to visit the elementary schools the week before Halloween in order to identify our members as "friends" during Halloween. It is our intention that any child who is out on Halloween can go to one of our students in the event that they should be lost or need assistance.
As a result, we would like to ask ______________________________, for a donation of $__________ to assist us in the acquisition of these items. The Students Council of ______________________________ High School and one other agency are being asked for a similar donation. In short, our goal is $______________ to assist us in defraying these expenses. We sincerely hope that you will look favourable on our request.
