It has recently been brought to the attention of the School Board that you, and a number of your peers, volunteered to provide security for our community and local schools this past Halloween evening.
On behalf of the School Board, I would like to commend you for this action. For one of the first times in recent memory, our buildings escaped any form of vandalism that evening. This, I feel, is due, in a large part, to the effort of you and your peers.
It is refreshing to see our students take an interest in the well being of the public buildings and property of the board. Your recent action provides our board with a very positive impression of today's youth as being concerned about their schools and community.
