The All Saints Program is now in its sixth year. Over these past years, a
great number of people have contributed both directly and indirectly to
this truly wonderful project. Most important have been the more than 600
students of Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School who have actively
participated in the project. To you, I and all those who follow this
program, owe a debt of thanks.
In behind the scenes there have been many people who have assisted and
advised this project. I must thank Monica Maloney, John MacDonald, members
of the Provincial Executive of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union and the
members of the Program Development Assistance Fund committee for
generously sponsoring the production of this resource package. Without
your assistance, this package would not have come into being.
Staff Sergeant Gene Anderson of the Yarmouth Town Detachment of the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police must be credited for truly believing in our youth
and our program. He deserves full credit for arranging police involvement,
advise and support. Likewise, RCMP Constables Doane Noel and Shawn Barker
both have taken leadership roles in seeing this project move beyond this
area.
As well, I acknowledge Les Walker of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union who
advised us in the public relations facets of this package. He and members
of the NSTU Public Relation Committee sponsored initial development of the
All Saints Program from a local to a Provincial program.
And finally, I would like to thank Christopher Nickerson, Cory Doucette and J. R. Surette for their efforts in assembling this resource. These are but a small representation of the
hundreds of supportive students who have worked on this program since its
inception in 1992.
I wish you only the best of luck in duplicating this program in your area.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
Sincerely yours,
Kenneth T. Langille Executive Director The All Saints
